GOAL
The Frisco Riders aim to be the premier select baseball program based in Frisco. We expect our teams to compete at a high level with unquestioned character and while showing respect for opponents and officials. The Riders aim to provide a high value experience at a reduced cost as compared to other select programs and to keep local youth baseball players within FBSA/Frisco.
Residency Requirements:
The goal of the select program is to have 100% Frisco residents per FBSA registration guidelines, however the Frisco residents or former FBSA players cannot fall below the following numbers:
Minimum Play Requirements
Teams are required to play the below minimum number of tournaments for each Spring season:
Community Service
Teams are required to complete at least 2 community service projects each calendar year.
-One event should be selected and organized directly by each individual team
-One event will be organization-wide and planned by the organization
Sponsorships
Any team sponsors should be appropriate and not in conflict with the values of the organization. Any sponsors of the Riders organization as a whole need to align and not be in conflict with FBSA partners.

Tryouts
Individual team tryouts will only be held by coach request or due to need to fill a vacant slot. Tryouts can be invite only or advertised publicly.
New team tryouts will be held after the season to not disrupt current FBSA Double or Single A team rosters. Coach will determine need for follow-up tryouts.
All Riders teams are required to attend and participate in Riders organization tryout before both the Fall and Spring seasons.
League Play
Teams are not required to play in the FBSA league, however if they do they must register as follows:
Amount of Teams
Teams will be built from 7u through 14u. Total teams in each age group will be determined on a yearly basis based on level of play of current teams.
Team Budgets
No registration fees from FBSA will be given to any Frisco Riders team. Team budgets will be
managed at the team level. Teams will set up an account, create a fee plan for the parents and share the details in the player/parent contract or communications.
Team Accounting
Each team will be set up with a bank sub-account with FBSA to manage team budget and financing. Select Director will have access to all team bank accounts and accounts may be audited at random.
Code of Conduct
Coaches and parents should conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner. Actions should reflect the values of the organization and protect the reputation of the Frisco Riders, FBSA, and the City of Frisco.
Inappropriate conduct by coaches may result in punishment administered by the organization. Breaches in conduct by coaches may result in investigation and review by the Riders Select Director and a may require the coach to meet with the Rider Leadership Circle.
Coaches will be responsible for the conduct of their parents. Coaches are not required to have a Code of Conduct provided and/or signed by their parents, however a document is available for those that prefer to do so.

Select Team Benefits
- Practice field time booked prior to slots submitted to league. One 1.5-hour slot per team per week
- Organizational wide tryouts before both the Fall and Spring seasons including necessary advertising of the event on organization website and social media
- Evaluation support at tryouts. Coaches still have ultimate say on who will be selected for their team however additional evaluation support by other coaches in program is available
- Coaches can be non-paid coaches to keep costs down unless coach determines the need for a paid coach
- Frisco tournament net proceeds are split 50/50 between FBSA and the Frisco Riders after tournament fees are paid
- Teams are required to work as support staff for Frisco tournaments in order to be eligible for tournament proceeds
- Sunday Double Header league supported by league and split 25/75 with league and Riders teams in return for Riders working and running the league
FBSA Benefits
- Name recognition for Frisco – teams are to register with organizations as “Frisco Riders-CoachLastName”
- Service projects by Riders teams
- Retaining kids in Frisco – keeping players within the association
- Potential communication with high schools - ultimate plan is to have these teams viewed at the high school level so the schools will be aware of players attending in future years
- The select teams are from the city as mentioned in the Goal section

- If classified as AA they can play in the FBSA AA league at the age they are registered and adhere to FBSA league residency requirements like other select programs that play in the league
- If classified as AAA or higher they must play up in accordance to USSSA tournament rules. AAA must play one year up and teams classified as Majors must play two years up

- Interview process will typically occur in the final month of the Spring or Fall season or in the one month following the season
- Applications for each upcoming season will need to be submitted by any coach interested before the end of the current season
- Interviews will be held by:

- Frisco Riders Leadership Circle
- Final approval will be communicated to all Riders coaches
